Are purchases from InternetLumber sales tax free?

Yes, exluding customers with billing addresses or shipping addresses in North Carolina.

If you are located in North Carolina and are purchasing for resale (dealer or distributor) please contact our accounting team who will assist you in completing the proper certificate of resale paperwork so you are not billed for sales taxes at time of purchase.

For customers in all other states we are not required to collect state taxes on your purchases.

What about import duties?

This is a frequent question from our Canadian and Mexican customers, MOST finished products (flooring, decking, and millwork) are tarrif and duty free under NAFTA, however certain finished products that are imported into the USA by InternetLumber for export to you may be subject to duties and or tarriffs. These charges will be billed directly to you by the freight forwarder at the time of delivery.

All flooring and millwork made from domestic (USA) species is duty/tarriff exempt as all these products are made entirely in the USA.
